Haha, I needed something light in between and I had read several reviews from "serious" bloggers on Ek Tha Tiger that said it was better than the usual masala crap. It really is!Mettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08094234448852441633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-219108510988412397.post-68860773296020374542014-05-20T17:50:42.779+02:002014-05-20T17:50:42.779+02:00Thanks for another reminder that I need to see Gul...Thanks for another reminder that I need to see Gulaal. For some reason, it always ends up at the bottom of the heap on my shelf. Your comparison to von Trier is interesting indeed and I would support Nikhat too in him being much more Scorsesian than anything else. He is bleak but profound.

Parzania was fantastic and Hazaaron Khwaishein had bit more positive effect on me than you but why o why would you watch Ek Tha Tiger after all that? :)SDGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09331736603243732602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-219108510988412397.post-12745390954474040532014-05-17T21:11:31.346+02:002014-05-17T21:11:31.346+02:00It's just because he makes really depressing m...It's just because he makes really depressing movies that are still very poetic... Yes, he's definitely less nihilistic and destructive than von Trier but still, their films have a similar effect on me. I sadly know too little about Scorcese to judge but from what I've seen, Scorcese's films have always left me on a happier note than Kashyap's. However, both do tell stories in a sort of "epic" way I guess?
About LRMB, well it's the same thing as with the first one- they are both situational in parts but they also have those really annoying bits that I don't know... I guess you have to be Indian to understand the humor? But actually LRMB especially was quite modern, I just didn't like that there was *that* much drama. A little less would've been cool. But the Gandhi thing and everything was quite funny. Love Arshad Warsi.Mettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08094234448852441633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-219108510988412397.post-74584405771873865312014-05-16T23:27:58.932+02:002014-05-16T23:27:58.932+02:00You think Kashyap is the Indian von Trier? Granted...You think Kashyap is the Indian von Trier? Granted I've only seen 3 of his films but he's nowhere near as nihilistic. I think he's way more Scorsesian. Anyways, I am curious about a number of films in this post and hope to see them.
Why are you thankful that Indian comedy has changed since LRMB?Nikhathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10379713171889712078noreply@blogger.com
