Lime's Sunday Supplement, 22.01.2012

I know, I know. My weekly write-up has already changed name and form two times - from "The Weekual Thursday PP" to "Thank God It's Thursday", where I included other new releases than just Indian ones.
My problem is that Thursday is a very busy day for me - I have 7 hours of school, two hours at home, 1 1/2 hours of ballet, and maybe a visit to the cinema at night.

That's why I decided to move this feature to my (normally) least stressful day of the week. This means that I won't just be able to talk new releases, but also new soundtracks, trailers... whatever I can think of.

I hereby declare Lime's "Sunday Supplement" open!

NEW RELEASES
Home, India and elsewhere.

India: 5 Chantey Mein 5 Crore
Looks like a horror-telenovela come alive/ to the silver screen.

Home: The Muppets
Bonjour childhood! I'll wait for the DVD, but this looks like something I'll love.

Home: J. Edgar
Why does this trailer bore me to death? Honestly, it looks like somethings that's been made dozens of times already.

Elsewhere: Underworld: Awakening
The most ridiculous trailer I've seen at the cinema for a long time. No, thank you.

MUSIC
Thoughts and new discoveries.

- The soundtrack of next week's Agneepath is promising. I especially like Chikni Chameli.
- Rahman's Ekk Deewana Tha soundtrack, not so much. At least judging from Hosanna.
- Milow is still awesome. Every time I listen to his lyrics, I discover new meanings.
- I want to listen to music more than I've been doing lately.

READING
Books, magazines, blogs.

- I hate reading so little, but there's a lot on my mind - school, movies etc.

- I'm currently reading "Film Art", a wonderful book about... the art of film.
- Discovered some new blogs, but forgot which ones.
- Maybe I should update my surf board.

OTHER THOUGHTS

- Did you notice I changed the right bar layout a little? I think it's much better this way.
- I'm thinking about a strategy to get to see more of the latest Indian DVDs... will tell you when I'm done.
- Forgot to save some of my favorite blog posts this week, but I'll do that next week.

  1. Oh, is that Film Art by David Bordwell and Kristin Thompson? That's my uni textbook, haha (and they only one I've ever needed to buy, the rest is just print outs). It's really brilliant, isn't it? :)
I think I'm going to try and see the Muppets in the cinema. I have the time, so I might as well (I might even have to resort to going by myself, as people I've asked either don't want to, or have already seen it!)

    1. That's the one. I know its being used in schools, and it's the best book on films I've ever read - actually the only one I didn't give up on after a few pages.
There are so many films in it that I haven't seen, but so what...

    1. I don't know if I will, I've kinda given up on this feature. But still glad you liked it.
