The Pensieve #2

~ It sounds like an echo from the past (because I've said this too often before), but I don't have much time to blog currently. School, getting a driving license, sports and work is what's biggest in my every day life at the moment... most of all, school. But I'll definitely write my Happy New Month post soon and I comment on your blogs from time to time - maybe in the weekend I'll find the time to write a review or something.

~ That's also why I haven't seen any trailers lately, but I hear there's going to be a Taken 2? Aha... didn't really love the first one. And what's with this Side by Side? So many big names!

~ Despite my lack of time, Fabulous Filmic Fashion Friday was supposed to be on today... but I haven't seen any films that felt inspiring, fashionably.

~ This week I'm going to see Woody Allen: A Documentary at the repertory - we missed it yesterday, sadly.

~ Although as I said, many things preoccupy my free and non-free time, I have nonetheless found some time to watch a few movies (which I find more important than blogging, for obvious reasons). Anyhow, I watched a lot of classics that I didn't really love, and most Wes Anderson movies which I all loved. I only need to see Bottle Rocket (short and feature) and Rushmore now.

~ Nothing new on the music front, other than me discovering how much I love the song "Alone Again". So Virgin Suicides.

~ Last but not least some links:

Sanni talks about Lara Dutta, a very underrated Indian actress that sadly doesn't get the good roles often enough.

Alex shares his list of 10 Perfectly Trashy Action Films, and by that admits that he's not an indie snob after all.

Diana saw the new On the Road and has very mixed and interesting feelings about it. What to do now - read it or see it first?

Sati and Stevee share their appreciation of Amy Adams.

Dan reviews the ever-awesome Truman Show that I discovered this year.

Think you've had enough of The Hunger Games reviews for now? Well, Rissi just wrote anotherone that I found interesting.

Before reading this, I had never heard of a person that loved Once so much. It's a good film to love, Ryan.

For the people that miss FFFashionFriday, here's a little post from Clothes on Film on the fashion in Cosmopolis, only me second favourite film this year.

And last but not least, Carla the Filmi Geek found a masala flick that was more or less worth watching - read her review on the latest Salman-Khan-blast Ek Tha Tiger.

  2. Woody Allen: A Documentary , I'd be interested to read your comments on that, if you get to see it soon.
Hope you are not too swamped! Understandable you are cutting down a bit on blogging, with so much going on in your life.

    1. I think the trailer is very interesting, and I don't care if it's a bit self-indulgent. Woody has the right to be. So yeah, I'm very excited to see it and you can surely be looking forward to a review.

    1. Nothing to thank for.
I've only seen 5 or 6 Woody Allen films so I wouldn't call him one of favourite directors - yet. He's an interesting persona nonetheless, and I haven't fully disliked any of his films yet.

    1. Haha, you're welcome. When I write stuff like this the first thing that comes to my mind is "Creepy, you're displaying your life online", but then I realize it's really just a little percentage of my life that I'm sharing. So it's ok.
My driving exam... well, I hope some time this or next month - thanks for asking :)
