Across the Universe Podcast Episode 3: A Girl Like You

In episode 3, we discuss our top 5 female role models - not as in feministic idols, but as in characters that have some traits we'd like to have ourselves. There's an interesting mixture in the characters we've chosen and we hope we're not going to be sued by Joan of Arc for not including her.
As always a big thanks to our listeners who have been listening to and plugging our little podcast!

  1. Some amazing picks here. And I'm glad you gals didn't go the feminist route (does saying gals instead of guys make me sexist?). Your favorite role model characters usually just take you by storm. Like that crazy lady from the movie Inside who terrorized that other pregnant lady. Girl was fearless. I have to give her props for that at least.

My own top 5 from you guys' list:

_Margot Channing (why couldn't she remain a bitch for the rest of the movie??? I'd have liked to see her go upside Eve's head)
    _Holly Golightly squared
    _Regina George
_Pippi Longstocking (loved her as a kid)
_Amelie (my fave film character of all time btw. Just had to plug that in)
    _ (bonus)Sam Jones.

I'm not surprised that Smashed got cancelled. It just doesn't seem like it would get a big enough fanbase to generate viewership or critics' respect. It just does not appeal to me, despite my love for MM.

Great podcast once again. I'm a definite follower now.

    1. I don't have anything against people saying "gals" or "guys" or whatever - don't see the difference. Great to hear you agree with our non-feminist point-of-view, and although I haven't seen Inside, that sounds like an interesting character.

Smash does sound interesting to me, but I don't know whether I'll see it. And judging from Les Mis, musicals are not really trending at the moment.

Thank you for the nice comment once again, Teddy!
